Foville syndrome (포비유 증후군)

---

: Inferior medial pontine stroke 위치 기준 같은 쪽의 눈 외전 및 안면 마비, 반대쪽의 편마비가 흔하게 나타나는 질환

: 병변 쪽 위치에서 Horner syndrome, 청력 손실, 안면 통증, 호너 증후군, 청력 상실, 안면 통증을 보일 수 있음

    *Honer syndrome

      ①동공수축(miosis)

      ②눈꺼풀처짐(ptosis)

      ③안구함몰(enophthalmus)

      ④얼굴의 무발한(anhidriosis)

: Pons에 혈류를 공급하는 perforating branches of the basilar artery의 blockage가 원인 (ex. stroke, tumor)

 

 

 

영향받는 구조

1) Abducens nucleus or fascicle

2) Intrapontine fibers of the facial nerve
3) Corticospinal tract

4) Medial lemniscus
5) Spinal trigeminal nucleus
6) Descending sympathetic fibers
7) Eighth nerve nuclei
